Too Hot! Scorching cities, new ideas
June 20, 2026 – February 7, 2027
Exhibition Opening: Friday, June 19, 2026, 7 p.m.
Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) >> Erdgeschoss
Our planet is growing hotter, with manifest consequence for our cities. Heat, drought, water shortages and flash floods all show how urgently we need to rethink and redesign our urban spaces. Cities account for the single largest share of our carbon emissions and therefore have a special responsibility, e.g., to adapt their infrastructure and convert urban spaces. Too Hot presents European examples from small towns to big cities.
They highlight new ideas and respond to the climate crisis with specific measures for climate protection and adaptation. And they include projects already realized, strategic plans, and citizens initiatives. The exhibition vividly describes how diverse the paths to bringing about the required change(s) are and the social issues that come with them.
