How do cities function? Who designs them, and how can you have a say? The “City for All” exhibition visualizes how urban planning can be readily comprehensible and tangible. Czech urban planning and artist trio consisting of Osamu Okamura, David Böhm, and Jirí Franta renders the mechanisms of urban planning visible by means of model collages, colorful city views steeped in detail, and illustrations, all custom-made for the DAM show. Their book publication “Die Stadt für alle – Handbuch für angehende Stadtplanerinnen und Stadtplaner” was selected as one of the winners of the 2022 iteration of the DAM Architectural Book Award and explains planning themes related to the city as our shared habitat. The book is written in a easily understood language
that conveys complex topics in a way that those new to the subject can swiftly grasp.
